I am so looking forward to our practice together this Sunday, September 2 at Mitchell Park. We will meet at the multi-purpose bowl at 3:30 pm.
Please remember to bring:
- Yoga mat
- Blanket or cushion to sit on
I know that life is busy and that there are times we fall off of our routines. With the endless piles of laundry, meals to prepare, schedules to maintain and to do lists, self care regularly falls down to the bottom of our priorities. It's my hope that with intentionally setting aside this time, we can create a space to honor our need for love and self care.
My teacher Sharath once said, in India, mothers come first, because mothers do everything. They take care of the house and family not just by chores and errands, but they also feed and nourish the family. Which is why it is so important that mothers practice yoga.
If you tell yourself that you don't have time, it may be because you envision an ideal setting, or ideal amount of time to practice. But those scenarios are quite rare, especially when our children are very young.
So we gather for this circle. Come practice, breath move, take a nap if you want. Just a little bit of nourishment can go a long way.
